The first table I learned of fine food and feasting was at my parent’s home in Annapolis, Maryland.

After college, manifest destiny took me west, first with a stop in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado where I landed in some of Denver’s best contemporary restaurants and wine boutiques.  A decade spent at some of the finest tables is where I fine-tuned my wine knowledge and palate.  It was during this time that Cristom’s wines first spoke to me.

While Denver has many great things, including some of the world’s best skiing, it does not have vineyards.  Having toured and tasted through Oregon Wine Country, with a stop at Cristom, I fell in love with the region and knew it could be my next home.  I left the high plains and continued my westward journey on the Oregon Trail.  This time I ended in the Willamette Valley, land of ferns, moss and my favorite – Pinot noir.

This valley is helping shape our newest table with family, friends and of course, Cristom Vineyards.  I feel extremely fortunate to be a part of such an accomplished winery.
