I spend my days slinging wine and I couldn’t be happier.
Born and raised in Central Pennsylvania, I was not surrounded by grape vines; but rather pig, dairy, and cattle farms. While I had yet to be introduced to the wonder of wine, food was a huge part of life (especially bacon).
It was on a back-packing trip through Europe where I had my “A-ha” food and wine moment. I was hooked! I heard a rumor that the Willamette Valley was the new place to be, and in 2006 I moved to the Willamette Valley. By a stroke of luck, Cristom was in the hunt for a new tasting room manager and Cellar Club coordinator. My background in hospitality, degree in Journalism, along with my passion for Oregon and its wine helped me land the job. (It may have also helped that I am from PA like the Gerrie family.)
