Jessie Vineyard Pinot Noir Accolades

2013 Vintage

93 Points – 2013 Jessie Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"Bright and brambly, this dense and textural wine brings strawberry and cherry fruit goodness front and center. It remains powerfully focused deep into a long finish, nuanced with cured meat and barrl toast."
- Paul Gregutt, Wine Enthusiast, published 4/1/2016

92 Points – 2013 Jessie Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"Ruby-red. Highly perfumed scents of dark berries, cola and rose oil. Fleshy, expansive black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors display a suave blend of richness and energy, picking up a spicy character with air. Finishes juicy and very long, with lingering dark fruit flavors and slow-building tannins. Drinking window: 2019-2024."
- Wine Spectator Insider

2012 Vintage

93 Points - 2012 Jessie Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"From the steepest east-facing vineyard with heterogenous soil types located just outside the winery, the 2012 Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard includes about 40 or 50% whole cluster fruit. It has a perfumed, quite floral bouquet with generous crushed strawberry and raspberry scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a lovely mineral-core of fruit cloaked in dark cherry and bilberry fruit. There is fine salinity here, very good depth, with a long and quite powerful saline finish. Excellent."
- Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

93 Points - 2012 Jessie Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"Fresh and expressive, glowing with blackberry, cherry and floral character as the open texture plays against delicate acidity on the long, inviting finish. Drink now through 2022."
- Wine Spectator

92 Points - 2012 Jessie Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"Jessie is perhaps the gutsiest of the Cristom wines in 2012, a study in dark pinot arts, plum and black cherry fruit notes lent dark spice b whole-cluster fermentation, which may also contribute to an amaro-like note on the finish. The fruit and spice haven’t quite converged, but they become more aligned with air, suggesting the wine will benefit from some cellar time."

2010 Vintage

93 Points – 2010 Jessie Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"Ruby-red. Intense, spice-accented aromas of raspberry, cherry and potpourri, with a bright mineral overtone. Juicy and sharply focused on the palate, offering an array of red fruit flavors and notes of spicecake and sassafras. Closes tangy and very long, with slow-building sweetness and gentle tannins adding shape."
- Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar

91 Points – 2010 Jessie Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"Aromatic nose, red fruits and cola. Juicy and fresh with ripe tannins and refreshing acidity. Good length. Drink 2014-2022 reviewed by Stephen Brook."
- Decanter Magazine

2009 Vintage

93 Points - 2009 Jessie Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"Stylish, precise, elegant and evocative, the Jessie may be the best of an excellent single-vineyard lineup from Cristom in 2009. Light toast rims deep black fruit flavors, with excellent concentration. The lengthy finish brings in streaks of espresso and clean earth. This has the balance and detail to reward significant cellaring."
