Louise Vineyard Pinot Noir Accolades

2013 Vintage

94 Points – 2013 Louise Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"Set at the top of Cristom's excellent lineup, this lush, round and seductive wine is built upon ripe black-cherry fruit. It plays out broadly across the palate, open and smooth, with nuances of cola, sandalwood and spice. Crisp, natural acidity keeps it lifted and lively Drink now through 2035." Cellar Selection

94 Points – 2013 Louise Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"Deep red. Hugely aromatic bouquet evokes ripe red fruits, incense and Asian spices, along with a bright mineral overtone. Juicy an precise on the palate, offering sweet raspberry preserve, rose pastille and spicecake flavors that deepen and spread out with air. Delivers a suave blend of power and elegance, finishing with harmonious tannins and remarkable clarity and length. Drinking window: 2019-2025."
- Josh Raynolds, Vinous

91 Points – 2013 Louise Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"Pretty and austere, this quiet pinot has a core of fruit held at some remove by its structure. This wine's acidity is elegant and pleasing, framing dusty cranberry flavors and a whole-cluster breadth to the texture."
- Wine & Spirits, June 2016

2012 Vintage

94 Points - 2012 Louise Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"The 2012 Pinot Noir Louise Vineyard, which is often the first and last fruit to be harvested because part of the vines lack sunshine late in the afternoon. It has a well-defined and very natural bouquet with ebullient red berry fruit intermixed with rose petals and cedar. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, wonderful focus and superb tension right to the finish. This feels a little more compact and backward than Cristom’s other 2012, but there is clearly breeding and sophistication here."
- Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

93 Points - 2012 Louise Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills, Estate
"Louise is often the darkest, most concentrated single-vineyard pinot noir is the Cristom portfolio, and in a warm vintage that impression seems all the more intense. A fine, wispy note of smoke adorns the dark plum flavors, with the spicy notes of whole cluster fermentation informing the texture of this wine. The tightness of its weave gives way to a sleek, seamless elegance, providing movement and length."
- Wine and Spirits Magazine

92 Points - 2012 Louise Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"Fine-grained and open-textured, deftly balanced, with root beer accents to the plum and currant flavors. The fruit floats over the tannins as the finish persists expressively. Best from 2016-2022."
- Wine Spectator

2010 Vintage

93 Points – 2010 Louise Vineyard Pinot Noir Eola-Amity Hills
"Vivid ruby-red. Exotically perfumed scents of cherry-cola, vanillin oak, Asian spices and potpourri. Deeply pitched red and dark berry flavors are complemented by notes of candied flowers, five-spice powder and rooty sassafras Youthfully firm tannins add focus and grip to an impressively long, energetic finish of excellent clarity and lingering spiciness."
- Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar

2009 Vintage

93 Points - 2009 Louise Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"This is classic Oregon Pinot Noir at its most svelte and stylish. Fresh and clean upon entry, it showcases its raspberry and cherry fruit in a delicate wrap of leaf and bark. The tannins are in perfect proportion; the finish is complex and intriguing."
- The Wine Enthusiast

2013 Louise Estate Pinot Noir

Textured, layered and creamy on the palate and often recognizable by its bouquet of sweet spices.
