Estate Pinot Noir Accolades

2013 Vintage

91 Points – 2013 Estate Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"There is a pleasing sense of vibrancy on the bouquet with marachino, raspberry and blood orange aromas that are well defined and energetic. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit on the entry, good weight in the mouth, saline with brine-tinged finish. This is a very well-crafted, personality-driven Pinot Noir that will give a decade's worth of pleasure."
- Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate
90 Points – 2013 Estate Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills
"This bottling, all estate, mixes a number of different vineyard blocks. Roughly one-third was whole-cluster fermentation, and it all spent 17 months in 58% new French Oak. Earthy with a hint of resin and bark, its fruit runs to cranberry and raspberry, fully ripened with excellent concentration. The finish is a bit high-toned, leaving an impression of tart pie cherries."

2013 Estate Pinot Noir

In the glass, the 2013 Estate expresses itself as if it were grown in a cool year in the Willamette Valley with bright, red-fruit aromatics, elegant, balanced tannins and persistent acidity. Even though we had a warm spring and summer, the rain impacted the season, and like many cooler vintages, our winemaker made the deliberate decision to use less whole clusters in 2013.  This wine will be one the finest expressions of the vintage as it is composed of some of the earliest and latest fruit harvested in 2013. The 2013 Estate Pinot Noir is a forty-barrel blend of some of the winemaker’s favorite lots from the four estate Pinot Noir single vineyards.
