Cristom Vineyards

2013 123° West Pinot Noir

2013 123° West Pinot Noir

SummaryCustomer Reviews "I’m excited and pleased to introduce the 123° West Pinot Noir - a wine produced in extremely limited quantities exclusively for Cristom Vineyards' Cellar Club members. The 123° West Pinot Noir is a five-barrel blend, selected by our winemaker Steve Doerner, as the very finest purchased fruit from the Willamette Valley in the 2013 vintage. We often talk about the 45th parallel north - the latitude where the winery and vineyards lie, placing us in a nearly perfect region for growing Pinot Noir. We speak less often, however, about our longitude in the Willamette Valley. Cristom Vineyards lies at 123° West, the Meridian line that runs central through the Willamette Valley. All of the vineyards that contribute to this wine are planted just minutes from 123° West. This year’s bottling is crafted from fruit grown in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA and Yamhill-Carlton AVA and has been named to honor the greater Willamette Valley Appellation. The blend of barrels may change each vintage depending on where the finest fruit comes from, but you can always count on some of the best barrels in the cellar being blended and crafted just for you. I’m so very grateful for your membership in our Cellar Club, and am proud to offer you this wine you can't find anywhere else. Thank you again for being a part of our extended family, and I hope you love the wines."-Tom Gerrie, Proprietor
