2017 AVA Series Pinot Noir McMinnville
Located 15 miles Northwest of the Cristom Estate, the vineyards of the McMinnville AVA sit at high elevations in a protected weather shadow of the Coast Range mountains. The unique climate and elevation of this AVA leads to fruit that ripens slowly and can hang longer on the vine without danger of mold or mildew, creating wines with
intensity and structure. Marine sedimentary and basalt are the common soil types found in the McMinnville AVA. With 1600+ acres planted to vine, the Pinots feature a strong backbone of tannins and acidity and a massive palate of black fruit, spice, and earthy flavors.
